Hlnman, Joint cashier of the Ore- gon Short Line and Salt Lake Route at the freight station at this point, has ten- dered his resignation, effective September 25, and will be succeeded by W. G. Seley, m present assistant cashier. II Mr. Hlnman, who has been with the n Harriman system for thirteen years, will 11 return to New York and make his futuro Ml home there. His mother, who is now S3 years old, is extremely feeble and re- M quires much care, and a sister of Mrs. Hlnman's Is also In poor health, and Mr. Hlnman and his wife will look after m them In future. Mrs. Hlnman left for H New York on Sunday last. I Agent Hall Resigns. B PORTLAND, Or.. Sept. 5. R. M. Hall, advertising agent for the Harriman lines In the Northwest, has resigned his posi- lion. His successor has not been named, but until a new advertising agent Is ap- pointed A. W. Moon, Mr. Hall's assistant, will fill the vacancy. D Railroad Notes. I A. B. G. Ira Tuttle, assistant general freight agent for tho Short Line, and Kenneth C. Kerr of the Salt Lake Route have returned from Boise, and report tho Idaho capital doing herself proud for the occasion occa-sion and the Utah delegation very much In evidence. S. A. Hering, general agent for the Fruit Growers' and Continental Fruit Express companies at Portland, Or., and C. S. Gunnell, agent for the Armour car I lines at Ogden, were in Zion Wednesday i and paid J. A. Reeves a fraternal visit I at Short Line headquarters. I Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt Sherman have re- turned from a visit to Pacific coast towns. I Including San Francisco.
