Show I. RATES FflRCONFERENCE Oregon Short Line Announces Specially Low Fares for Fall Assembly. FULL EFFECT OF RECENT REDUCTION Attending Crowds This October Should Be Larger Than Eyer Before. I As the full fruitage of the recent reduction re-duction in passenger rates made by the Oregon Short Line, comes nov a conference confer-ence rate of one faro for tho round trip to 8alt Lake from all points in Utah and Idaho, and applying aa far Trest as Huntington, Or., nnd Bed Eock, Mont. On this basis the rate will be 1 cents per mile each "waj'j or 3 cents for the round trip, as against a previous pre-vious rate of 2 cents each Tray, or 4 cents for the round trip, or n reduction reduc-tion of 25 per cent on the former. Heretofore the conference rate from Ogdon has been $1.50; tho novr rato Trill be $1.10. Prom Logan the former rate was $3.00; tho new rate will bo $2.05. From Pocatello, $6.00; now, $5.15. Boise, $17,50; new rate, $13.10. with proportionate reductions from nil m This is tho most pronounced illustration illustra-tion of tho benefit of the 3-conts per mile reduction made by the Harriman lines, and amply demonstrates the benefit that will accrue io tho travoling public from the change. Tn some instances in-stances the reductions are of a most sweeping character and the low rate should tend to further augment tho conference con-ference crowds. These are the lowest rates that hnve ever been made by tho Short Line or any other road. From the more distnut points tickets will be on sale October 3 to 6, inclu-5i'e, inclu-5i'e, limited for return October 15, while from tho nearby points the selling sell-ing days will be Octobor 4 to 7, inclusive, inclu-sive, limited to October 12. |
