Pollock & Co. received the following telegram from Gold-field, Gold-field, Nevada, yesterday: "H. H. Clark, owner of Bullfrog Bull-frog Townsito and head of Bullfrog1 Bull-frog1 Mining Co., who paid big price for lease number one on Stray Dog, says entire width of shaft at bottom, sixty-five feet, is in hundred and fifty dollar ore, and footwall not yet encountered." Mr. Clark says he owns mines all over Nevada, but is devoting all his time to Stray Dog leaso. Has steam hoist on the ground, just arrived from Union Iron Works, San Francisco. Estimated average daily output out-put on his lease eight hundred to thousand dollars. AN ORDINANCE. That Section 250 of tho Revised Re-vised Ordinances of Salt Lako City of 1H)3 be and :he same hereby is amended and re-enacted-.so as to read as follows: Section 200. City Chemist. Appointment. Appoint-ment. Compensation. Duties. Tho Board of Health shall have tho power to appoint, subject to the confirmation of the Council, Coun-cil, a suitable person as City Chemist, at ;t salary of ten hundred and twenty ($1020.00) dollan per annum, which shall bo In full for all services rendered, payable pay-able monthly as arc the salaries of other city officers. It shall be his duty to make such analysis, tests and examinations aa may bo required by the Board of Health ond Engineering Department, the supplies sup-plies for which analyses, tests and examinations ex-aminations tihall not exceed the sum of twenty-five ($25.00) dollars per month, bills fcr which supplies shall be audited, allowed al-lowed and paid as aro other bills for supplies furnished the city.
