Mrs. Minnie Min-nie Lund and her little six-year-old grandchild grand-child were turned penniless Into the streets of Bingham tonight by her husband, hus-band, August Lund, and a crowd, whom ho had around him. Married but Two Months. Mrs. Lund Is 62 years of age and Is comparatively a stranger here. She married mar-ried August Lund about two months ago. A week ngo . Lund commenced divorce proceedings against her, and yesterday sho went to Salt Lake to secure an attorney to fight the case, which seems to have grown out of Mrs. Lund's refusal to take part In Spiritualist meetings frequently held at Lund's house. Turned Into Street. On returning to camp tonight Mrs. Lund found her furniture- piled In the street nnd tho doors of the house barred against her. She Immediately made an appeal to Chief of Police Grant, who secured supper sup-per nnd room for the woman and child nnd will enre for them until the enso Is further Investigated. Bitter Peeling- Against Lund. The turning of tho woman from her homo Into the street has caused Intenso feeling here against Lund, and tho use of tar and leathers is threatened. |
