While tho slzo of the ledge la not definitely known tho oro thus far uncovered will ron $1500 to tho ton and the company anticipates from reports received re-ceived thai It Is a continuous lidgo which will hold Its vaJuo for some time lo come. The property owned by lho company comprises two clalrnB known as tho Cum-brla Cum-brla and Cambria No. 2 wblch aro located lo-cated six miles north of Austin In what Is known as New York canyon. Thou claims were discovered last wlntor and wero owned and opened up Jointly by Robert Watt, C V. Rachovllle and Mrs. Isabella Watt until October of the picnent year, when they wero purchased by tho present company. Tho shaft on the Cambria Cam-bria claim Is now down 200 feet nnd drifting drift-ing was commenced a short tlmo ago on tills level. Several carload shipments wero made by the former owners to tho Selby smeller smel-ler at San Francisco, the avcrago value being over 5300 per ton, while In ono shipment ship-ment 3130 pounds of ore ran J20y2.0S. With greater depth It Is expected that very rich oro will bo found and tho present telegram bears out tho expectations of the company.
