Tho gold was sprinkled over Its surfaco with 9uch prodigality that It took the breath away from somo old-timers who saw It In Williams & Colburn's office. Every piece was Just the samo and wherever a chunk was broken off It showed free gold all through the fractures. It looked llko ordinary rock on tho weather-worn surface, but undornoath It wa8 appetizing. The ore came from tho Clark, Benson and Ladd claims and was taken from a hill overlooking tho town of Arnargosa.
