Show GIRLS MAKE THINGS LIVELY. "Physical Culturists" From Chicago Achieve Fame in Cincinnati. CINCINNATI. O.. Dec. 11. Mrs. M. B. Brldwell today sworo out warrants for the arrest of two physical culture girls, Laura McHugh and Lilly West, of Chicago, Chi-cago, but more recently of Philadelphia. Tho girls engaged a room at her home and strange noises emanating from It caused nil tho trouble. Mrs. Brldwell wont upstairs and looked into tho rooms. She saw the young women wom-en attired In bloomers. One was wrestling with a big meJlclno ball, while the other was punching a bag. Abandoning theso amusements, thoy began to perforin various vari-ous acrobatic feats. Mrs. Brldwell asked whnl tluy wero doing. "Why. my dear," replied one, "wo aro physical culture girls." When sho told the girls they had to move thoy chased her downstairs. She darted into her own room and locked the door. Laura put her foot against it and broke tho lock. Mrs. Brldwell "ducked" under a right swing delivered by Lilly and hurried to tho sidewalk. It Is charged that Laura bit a pleco out of tho headboard head-board of tho bed and Lilly tossed a Jap-ancso Jap-ancso vase through tho mirror; that they mado a wrrck of the room and when they left thoy carried their trunks under un-der their arms. |
