Show TWO LOGAN TEACHERS TO SEEK OTHER FIELDS Special to Tho Tribune. IX)GAN. May 23. Mrs. Lois Kerr, who for two years past has been principal of tho Benson school, gave a canyon outing, the teachers of the Benson and their friends bolng guests of tho occasion. Mrs. Kerr leaves Logan this year to go to Columbia Co-lumbia to tako up the study of manual training. A pleasant day was spent and all Joined in wishing Mrs. Kerr every pos-alblo pos-alblo success in her new vocation. 4 Q O Miss Matilda Peterson waa tendered a pleasant reception at the Brigham Young college by tho pupils and teachers of tho training school. Miss Peterson for tho past six years has been tho primary teacher teach-er of the training 3chool, during which time sho has made nn enviable record. She leaves Logan at the close of this year to accept the position of primary supervisor super-visor of tho Ogdcn City chools. An hour was spent in the gymnasium dancing and visiting when all were Invited to the dining di-ning hall, where covers were laid for seventy-five. Lunch was served, after which Prof. D. C. Jensen spoke of the history and work Oif the training school and Miss Peterson's connection therewith. An olo-trant olo-trant silver-mounted silk umbrella with the inscription "Matilda Peterson, B. . C. Training School." was presented to tho ruost of honor. Miss Maggie Jones, Intermediate Inter-mediate teacher in the training school, who looked after tho details of the reception, recep-tion, deserves special mention |
