All mountain streams In this vicinity ' are raging torrents. Seven slides have occurred oc-curred on. the Red Mouqtain-.llne between be-tween hero and Northport and more than that number below Northport. At Chewelah the bridges are washed out. There was no communication yesterday,; yes-terday,; nor is there today, with Spokane, Spo-kane, and there cannot be through' communication for, a" week. Betwoen Nelson and Northport slides block the tracks everywhere. The Canadian Pacific railway is better off. The Phoenix line Is temporarily blockaded, block-aded, but the Slocan lines are reported clear. There has been no through communication com-munication on the main line from Rev-elstock Rev-elstock east for the past week A special from Trail says.
