Show FUNERAL SERVICES FOR JOHN S. DIX Many Friends Pay Tribute at the Bier of This Young- Man, Who Was One of Promise. Many oorrowlng friends gathered yesterday yes-terday afternoon at the family residence to attend the funeral services over the remains of John Seaitj Dix, oldest son of Ma-, and Mrs. P. A. Dlx. The services ser-vices were conducted by Row Mr. Young of the First M. E. church, and appropriate hymns were feelingly and sweetly sung by Mrs. Alfred Peters. John Dlx was n. young man of exceptional ex-ceptional worth and promise. He wns an earnest, honorable, manly boy. Ho was energetic and capable. His character char-acter was of the highest. He was ever gentlemanly and unassuming. HJS pa-rente pa-rente had every reason to believe that he would grow to be one of the best of men. But Illness came upon him about a year ago. Ho sought the benefits ben-efits of the Arizona climate, hut thoy could not save him. and he came back to spend his few days at home. To the stricken parents and their other children the blow is a severe one. and the hearts of many who knew and admired ad-mired tho ono who is gone grieve for them. |
