Show SCHWAB AND PARTY ENJOYED THE RECITAL Charles Schwab and party of Pittsburg Pitts-burg were among those who enjoyed the recital at the Tabernacle yesterday afternoon. Mr. Schwab is a musician and was chairman of the committer which built the great pipe organ in Carnegie Car-negie hall, Pittsburg, of which Lemarc is the organist, but yesterday the groat steel magnate pronounced the Tabernacle Taber-nacle organas far superior to the Pitta-bury Pitta-bury organ; in fact said It is the finest toned organ ho has ever heard. Yesterday's programmo was enjoyed by an unusually large audience, a new feature being the absenco of applause, at the request of Mr. McClellan, and this will be the rule horcafter. Following Fol-lowing wore the numbers given by Mr. McClellan, every one of which was played with splendid effect: Pilgrim's Chorus from "Tannhauscr" "Wagner 1 "Palm Sunday" Mollly "Pavone Favorite" Brlsson Old melody, "Annlo Laurie." Introduction to Third Act of "Lohengrin" "Lohen-grin" and the "Wedding March" "Wagner President Joseph F. Smith and Anton IT. Lund were also present nt yesterday's yester-day's recital. |
