Show STAR CON. MEETING AGAIN ADJOURNED The shareholders of the Star Con. Mining Mi-ning company met In adjourned session yesterday morning to ascertain that it was unable to proceed intelligently with the records of the company in their present confusion, and an adjournment ad-journment was ordered until Saturday next at the same place, the meeting to reconvene at the same hour. While the temperament of the' gathering was none the less Inflammable or the determination deter-mination of the factions less fixed at the meeting yesterday morning, It vas under better control. There were explosions, ex-plosions, but they were not so Immoderate Immod-erate as at the previous meeting, and thote present had the assurance of President Packard that if there were any errors in the record lie, with them, wanted them run down and corrected. To assist Secretary Packard and tho committee on credentials, W. J. Bate-man Bate-man was designated by those present, nnd when the shareholders reassemble on April 23rd a complete roster of them is promised. In tho lobby it was quite manifest that the anti-Packard faction had determined de-termined to overthrow the contract between be-tween Mr. Landers and tho board of directors looking to the Installation of a mill under the terms specified in tho agreement. The shareholders are eager for any accessory that shall promote the Interests of the company, said one of them, but they will not consent to the proposition which has been presented present-ed to them for approval. As they are In the majority, the contract Is doomed. |
