Show SLEEPS IN MT OLIVEr I Impressive Funeral Services Over Remains of J H Coddington The remains of Joseph H Coddington I were laid to rest In the Masonic plot at Mt Olivet yesterday afternoon The main funeral services were held at the I First Baptist church at 230 In the afternoon af-ternoon and despite the stormy Avcath era largo number of friends of the deceased de-ceased gathered to do honor to his memory Floral offerings were also seen in great profusion The services were under the auspices of Argonta lodge No3 A F and A M and among the members of the lodge who participated were Worship ful Master Dr N D Estcs Senior Warden Dr Ned Hewitt Junior Warden War-den John Burleigh Senior Deacon H F Evans Junior Deacon Edward Humes J Borgermun W B Robb Julius Ju-lius Houtz F P Sherwood J F liar die and P J Hon n The last six named acted as pallbearers RCA II B Stcelman of the First Bap tl church delivered the funeral discourse dis-course in which he extolled the high character of the deceased and spoke feelingly of his many charitable acts I all of whlrh were quietly performed anti which in almost all Instances were known only to himself and the recipient of his generosity At the conclusion of Roy Mr Steel mans remarks the beautiful funeral service of the Masonic order vas read by Worshipful Master Estes The Masonic Ma-sonic ritual was also read at the grave |
