Show TRY TO RAISE FLOUR PRICES 1 Majority of County Millers Agree to Increase While Others Object There wore several millers of the I county in session yesterday for a time and during that period the air In the I room in the Whltingham block circulated circu-lated very freely At the close and I when It was announced that the prices of flour had been raised to the rates I prevailing until a couple of weeks ago high patent 160 straight grade S140 family 126 The reason for the restoration resto-ration of prices was said to be the advance ad-vance in wheat which is now quoted at about 3 cents a bushel higher than a week ago These of course arc wholesale pi Ices retail being about 10 cents higher While a majority of the millers of the county agreed on the above prices it I does not follow that they Avlll be kept up as one if not more of the representatives I represen-tatives of the largest milling establishments establish-ments In the State has so far refused to abide by the new prices and Insist on yelling at the cut rate put into operation I ope-ration some time ago A strong effort will be made sometime some-time during the next ten days to get i I I the millers of this county and tho representatives I rep-resentatives of the millers outside of I the county together again and form Home kind of a stable organization by I which prices wIll be controlled at least to such an extent that the staff of life Avlll not be sold at a loss as is now I being done I |
