Show YOUNG WOMANS SAD PLIGHT li After Boarding a Street Car Mary Webster Appeared Lose Her Faculties and Was Taken Charge of byan Officer LIar Webster a young woman apparently ap-parently about 22 years of age caused a commotion on a street car last evening even-ing She boarded the East Seventh South street car at Third East and Seventh South streets to come up town but shc sobbed and otherwise acted in such 3 peculiar manner that Officer Pack who was on the car assumed charge of her and took her to the police station There she wept laughed and talked In a rambling manner until given giv-en some medlcinc prescribed by Dr Benedict which seemed to quiet her Later she was taken to her home on Third East between Seventh and Eighth South streets While at police headquarters she said she married when 15 years of age a boy named Sylcock who was only I 19 years old in South Dakota he having been compelled to sell a saddle In order to obtain money with which to get married mar-ried According to her story she has traveled over nearly all the Western country She said that she does not know where her husband In nor why he left her She also said that her father left home last night but why she did not know She further told the police po-lice that she was released from the hospital in October having suffered from an attack of typhoid fever I |
