Show By YY. U. Telosraph. GREELEY VERSUS GRANT. New York, 31. Horace Greeley in to-day's Tribune says, that though he does not exact the one term principle above every other consideration, yet he has advocated it over thirty years, never supporting a president for reelection re-election but once; and that he has reason rea-son for believing that Grant assented to it, less than four years ago. He does not say that Grant will not be elected if nominated, and he does not say he will not support him; but that his nomination renders ren-ders doubtful a Republican triumph, which tho one term pledged candidate would make certain. |
