Show GEORGE W BEANS FUNERAL Many People Payed Tribute to the Pioneer Richfield Dec 11The obsequies of Judge George W Bean were held at the Mormon meeting house here this afternoon after-noon Those taking part in the exercises exer-cises were Willard W Bean son of the deceased President W H Seegmiller of Sevier stake Counselor Joseph S Home and Bishop Brandley Willard Bean gave a biographical sketch of his fathers career dwelling especially upon his church history and his experiences In the Black Hawk and other Indian wars A large congregation congrega-tion attended the funeral and joined in a long cortege to the cemetery MESSAGES OF CONDOLENCE Among other messages of condolence received by the widow were one from William B Dougall of the Deseret telegraph tel-egraph system and the one here quoted quot-ed Salt Lake City Dec 11Mrs Geo TV Bean and Family We were much pained and surprised to learn of the death of Judge Bean Our almost lifelong life-long acquaintance with him made us appreciate his friendship and we feel that his departure is indeed a great loss to the community as well as his family and associates We extend you our heartfelt sympathy in the great bereavement you have sustained ROBERT T BURTON Santaquin Utah Dec 12The people of Santaquin mourned when they learned of the death of Judge Bean of Richfield as I he resided here early in the seventies 1 and was highly esteemed All of our I original city deeds bear his signature |
