Show I Mil Of lA A8Q OH MEET II ACTION OU PROPOSED POSTAL I I SAVINGS AS I j i Uni ep Labor League of Philadelphia i Protest Against a Proposed Federal I Fed-eral Appointment i I Nashville Tenn Dec 1 Nearly all the delegates to the convention of the American f Amer-ican Federation of Labor have arrived I The attendance is not Expected to be exceedingly ex-ceedingly large but there will be a full I representation The examination of credentials cre-dentials of delegates was very nearly complete today and the report will be ready when the convention meets All I the member of the executive council have arrived The Federation will meet in the hal of the house of representatives I tomorrow morning at 10 oclock promptly prompt-ly S lyThe The first order of business will be the address of welcome by William Amlson of the Nashville Typographical union The response will be made by President 1 Gompers and the business of hearing reports orts will be taken first and after it is disposed of the presidents report and 1 the reports of the treasurer and secretary secre-tary will be read bt1 I Most of the delegates attended a meet ing this afternoon of the Trades and Labor I I La-bor council and brief reports were made I by several M Henri Al Cardozo of Paris who is in I this country investigating the steelmak ing industry for the French government is attending the convention It is expected ex-pected definite action will be taken in reference ref-erence to the institution of postal savings sav-ings banks by the general government II Ed Hirsch delegate of the International Typographical union Audray J Carey of i Massachusetts and Millard Lloyd delegate I dele-gate from the Illinois federation will push this matter and obtain if possible I the endorsement of the federation i |
