Show A MERRY WAR I Demands on the 1C G W for Ten Times as Jluch as Heretofore for Depot Use There is a pretty war on in Ogden and the Union depot is the scene of the conflict When the Union depot was first constructed structed the Rio Grande Western for some reason or other managed to got a contract whereby it was allowed to run its trains into the depot for the nominal sum of8150 per month This was regarded as a snap of the lirst order and it was eneraly understood at the time that such a contract could never be renewed Well the life of the contract ended a few days agoand now the Rio Grande Western is asked to pay the snug little sum of 18000 a year for the privilege heretofore enjoyed by it for the modest sum of 1800 As a result there is trouble in the air Just what the outcome will be remains to be seen There are those however in railway circles who are confident that the Western will be compelled com-pelled to knuckle down |
