Show I I A JUST OBJECTION The Pioneer Library 13 of no Value to Anybody Any-body at Holiday Hours To the Editor of TiE HERALD Apropos of the new public library in tho new chamber of commerce building I and a friend engaged in labor similar to mine oC which I will speak farther on went up to the library immediately after supper with the intention of looking up a subject What was our surprise upon arriving at i the library t find it closed and a notice posted that it would be open from 2 till 5 p m Now i the library is lor the public that is for thE working classes who need it most why not have the library doors open > till 1 p m every evening ask this because I am a clerk whoso hours are from 8 j a m to 0 p m and consequently the hours in vogue at present make it impossible impossi-ble for myself and many others whoso hours are the same as mine to enjoy the enclitsto be derived from a free reading room Hoping this matter will receive some consideration I remain yours respectfully B REVIER |
