DEEP CREEK RAILWAY PROJECT A briof paragraph tn Saturdays issue of TUE HEIULD mentioned that Mr WILLIAM SLOAN and associates were dndoavoring to organize 0 company for the purpose of building a railroad to Dkop Crook We have seen the gentlemen interested in the project and learned that thoir intention is I to obtain a local subscription to the amount of threequarters of a million to be secured se-cured by tho companys bonds the money to be paid only to the contractors for work performed and then conditional upon the t building and stocking of 150 miles of road The promoters think that i they ar backed by a local subscription as above they will DO able to enlist contractors in the east who will build and equip the road The scheme is at least worthy the investigation of our capitalists and rea estate owners all of whom must be interested inter-ested in having the road start from this city We have before expressed the belie I that the first company to begin actual work on tho Deep Creek road will drive al II other projects out of the field as but online 0 I on-line will be run to the now mining district hVe have also fid that it will be an irreparable i I irre-parable loss to this city i the Deep Creel road shall run from any other point I our citizens can understand tho importanc of securing this road they will be ready 0 investigate projects which have for thei object the construction of the line
