I Noble Says Young Raum Was Discharged ST Louis May 16 General Noble sec tary of the interior who is t in this city was seen in reference to the discharge of Green B Raum jr son of the commissioner commis-sioner of pensions I is true said the secretary young Raums resignation was demanded The charges against him of selling offices and falsification in the civil service examination I am satisfied are true and I myself discharged three men involved I asked for young Raums resignation Young Raum had recently got into bad habits I cannot in habit hold any sense his father General Raum responsible for the short coming of his son General Raum has my sincere sympathy He acted the part of an honorable man and good of against ficer General I know Raum no charges of any kind
