OCR Text	Show l DAMAGING EVIDENCE GeoTce Hills and Mrs Weirs Charged with Adultery The preliminary hearing of George SHills S-Hills and Mrs Kate Weirs charged with adultery was taken up before Commissioner Commis-sioner Pratt yesterday afternoon and proceeded pro-ceeded with until 5 oclock when adjournment ad-journment was taken until this morning when the hearing will be resumed Several witnesses for the prosecution were examined yesterday and their evidence evi-dence as a whole was very damaging to the defense Mrs Jennie Banks the complaining witness testified that she had seen the couple occupying oc-cupying the same bed and that they made no attempt to conceal it F W Wheeler conducted the prosecution prosecu-tion and Breeze Burris appeared for the defense
