| Show risk I Fiends Numerous complaints come in from the neighborhood of the mountain streams about fish fiends They are the destroyers of the denizens of tho brooks who not content with enjoying the regular anglers an-glers sport and catching their prey with look and line resort to giant powder and other improper means of gaining big hauls of fish It is shameful that the streams should be thus denuded of the scaly tribes that find in them their natural home and the fishermans best haunts be thus robbed of their chief charms It is butchery of the worst kind and is in violation of the territorial ter-ritorial laws We have a fish and game commissioner iu Utah It would be a good thing if he would depute some reliable anglers to act 10 his behalf and they would prosecute the fish fiends as the law provides A little detective work on the Weber and Provo rivers up towards the head waters also on Parleys creek and other streams and on the borders of the lakes would result re-sult in the exposure of some of those lawless law-less despoilers of the waters and a few fish would be left for present and future lovers of legitimate sport What has the commissioner to say on this subject |
