Show One nuisance which should be mentioned mentoned here is the habit of throwing handkerchiefs on the floor to hold places for the square dances Some little blame rests on tho band in attendance for this habit The band should instructed to play as soon as the caller has made the announcement of the dance and then everybody would have a show Some young gentlemen have been noticed to hold a place in this manner and start for his partner when the music commences com-mences The consequence is that the set in which he has retained a place is crippled until he finds his partner In some places this practice has been stopped by the floor managers for a time but the practice is soon resumed |
