ytar will see grdat Improvements iu Brightons resort and a place that will bo a resort in all that the word implies The gas producer recently put in at tho Marsac mill has been working aweek now and thus far bus proved a success Some little difficulty has been experienced with the Weber coal which was remedied by mixing it with Castle Gate coal The gasworks gas-works just as well as wood in the Stude fcldl furnace and is much cheaper Only seven tons of coal are used daily now against sixteen cords of wood formerly The saving in the cost of fuel and labor amounts to about forty dollars per day a no small item Superintendent Wilson believes be-lieves that tho gas will be 1 great success both in the roasting and drying of ores Enough gas can be generated with tho producer pro-ducer now in use to handle the ore from twenty more stamps The town has been crowded this week with visitors The Utah Central road has been carrying about 150 passengers in and out of Salt Lake every day for thepast two weeks Many come to the Park as they say to got a chance to breathe Though warm during the day the nights are cool and delightful No complaints are heard here about the heat Among those who cars of building rockand live cars of wool The receipts reached a total of 7060723 pounds an increase of 1697515 pounds over the corresponding month of last year The increase shipments over July of last year amounted to 114757 pounds The increase in receipts and shipments is very heavy considering that that the Ttah Qentrat road has also done a good business The polIce court business this week
