OCR Text	Show MR C E ALLEN said the other evening The highest and deepest lovo 0 man can have is love of country Of course it was love of country and not love of self that caused Mr ALLEN to draft this resolution a few weeks ago Resolved By the TerritorlalLiberal committee of Utah composed of Democrats and Republicans cans that they heartily endorse the bill now pending before Congress introduced in the Senate by Senator CULTOII and in tho House by Representative STKDBLE providing a test oath for Utah and earnestly request its passage Mr ALLEN mark you1 did not vant the Mormons disfranchised because that would insure his election as county clerk Not at all perish the thought He simply wanted his opponents disfranchised because that would in someway that ho did not explain notexIlain show his love for American institutions and be a great gain to the country as well In it possible that Mr ALLEN mistakes his own interest for the interest of the country 1
