| Show CENTRAL DEMOCRANIO SOCIETY Annual Election of Officers Held Jacksons Day to Be Observed Last night the Central Democratic Society So-ciety of Salt Lake county held its regular monthly and annual meeting Thero was a good attendance and much I interest was manifested in the welfare of the club Reports were received from several of the retiring officers showing the club to be in good condition An amendment submitted at a previous meeting fixing the monthly dues at fifty conts per month in placo of 1 as heretofore hereto-fore was adopted An nlection of officers for the ensuing year was then held and tao following named persons chosen Prank H Dyer president H C Lett first vicepresident K L Williams second vicepresident J R Letcher recording secretary E A Smith treasurer A 1 Schroeder financial secretary I H C Reich sorgeantatarms J W Judd J H Moyle A G Norroll W H Casady executive committee With the excepticn of filling vacancies all the old officers were unanimously reelected re-elected Tho president made a speech acknowledging acknowl-edging the compliment tendered himself and fellow officers and briefly reviewing the his ory and progress of the club movement move-ment he pointed with pride to the past and predicted oven greater achievements in the future and urged upon all the necessity of thorough and close organization both as a moans of success for the club and tho ad vancement of the objects it had in viaw the betterment of politics in Utah The executive committee was instructed to make the necessary arrangements for properly observing Jacksons day January Janu-ary S at which time it is expected that the club will give a public reception |
