BENNETT AND BROWN The General and Freight Agents of the Pi G W Will Resign Rumors That They Will Leave on the First or January Traced to a Bell able Source I was rumored on tho streets last evening even-ing that J H Bennett general agent and Mr Brown tho freight agent of the Rio Grande Western would sever their connection con-nection with that road on the first of next month Several railroad men had heard rnirod the rumor and among them it created a big sensation It was impossible last night to learn the exact facts in tho case but it was ascertained from excellent authority that the gentlemen named would resign on January Jan-uary 1 Similar statements in regard to Mr Bennett Ben-nett at least hitvo been made before and I proved to be without foundation but this time it comes so straight that it is probably true The gentlemen are among the most energetic and capable railroad men in tho west and are deservedly popular among the patrons of the road Mr Bennett has been connected with tho Rio Grande Western West-ern for a number of years not a little to its prosperity Mr Brown has not been in the service of the Little Giant as long as the general agent but he has worked just as tirelessly for its success and is well known throughout the territory
