Show West Bountiful By ALICE MITCHELL 295-1156 There are many prognostications prognosti-cations of how the world will become in the new year. With prices so high and commodities commod-ities so difficult to keep on hand, it presents a gloomy picture. pic-ture. There are all sorts of prophecies about how bad the world is becoming with wars on all sides. The hostage problem prob-lem becomes more insurmountable insur-mountable each day and the Democrats are very pessimistic pessimis-tic about what will hup pen when the new political party is in office. There is one thing for certain and that is that people should pay more attention to the less fortunate, the elderly, teenagers teena-gers and young adults, babies and neighbors. If everyone would show concern the world would improve in 1981. The Elias Millers were happy hap-py to entertain Llias' mother. Attella Miller in their home. She w as the guest of honor at a birthday party in North Ogden last Saturday. The party was held at the home of Volmarand Nadine Miller, another son. Also attending were the Ariel Millers of West Bountiful; Bounti-ful; son. Stephen and wife Dorothy of Plain City: son. Rollo and wife Irene of Plain City; son. Waldo and wife Joyce of East Lay ton: her daughters Peggy Bernson of Salt Lake City; Naomi and Bill Eilers of Slater Ville and her sister Ada Tollman of Ogden. plus several married grandchildren grand-children who brought their children and several others in the group. LaRue and Harold Hugoe will report on their mission on Jan. 1 1 at 10:30 a.m. in the Second Ward Chapel. The Hugoes were sad to say goodbye to Esther and Pete Ferrington. their guests of ten days. They came to be sealed in the temple and to do genealogical work. The West Bountiful Sixth Ward Deacons won the Stake Deacons Tournament. Sam Allman coached and taught the boys. Members of the team were Jim Allman. Mike Hamilton. Hamil-ton. Danny Hamilton. Steve Stillman. Marshall Mills. Matthew Memmott. Chuck Stuart. Bruce Rasmussen. Jus-ten Jus-ten Blackburn, dreg Rasmus-sen Rasmus-sen was assistant coach. Jerry and Lisa Allman are the parents of a new son. Agness B. Mangus has moved to the Heritage House in Bountiful. Her daughter, lleene Thurgood. has moved to Taylorsville. David Burt, a returned missionary mis-sionary of the Taiw an Mission, visited at the home of Allyson I and Dan Taylor. Ruth Penlu of Bountiful, visited vi-sited w ith the Craig Siddowav s last week. The Siddoways enjoyed having grandpa and grandma Siddowav visit with them over the holidays. Juliann Hatch, daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Olsen. was married to Matthew Brown of Kan.ib. They were married in the Seattle I DS Tample Dec. 27. Grandma Ruby Olsen. Halvor Olsen and his wife attended the festivities. festivi-ties. Kathie Roberts, who formerly for-merly resided in the Eldredge Apartments, is announcing her wedding to Rick Maughan. son of Thomas and I. a R e e Maughan. on Jan. 19. sKI. They vv ill be married in the Sail Lake IDS Temple. They will be honored at a wedding reception that evening even-ing in the Granger 12th Ward This will be hosted by the parents pa-rents of the bride. Margaret and James S. Roberts. The high priests and then wives of the 4th Ward enjoyed a dinner party on Dec. 27. It was held at the home of Gary and Leona Edmonds. Entertainment Enter-tainment was furnished by the Onion Street Singers, accompanied accom-panied by Ellen Call. Jana Kay Edmonds was baptized and confirmed during the past week. |
