Exercise programs Early morning aqua-trim: Early morning lap swim and water exercises are offered Monday through Friday from 4:45-6:45 4:45-6:45 a.m. and on Saturdays fiom 5-7 a.m. at the Indoor Pool. Cost is $1.50 per visit or you may purchase one of several sev-eral pass programs. AQUA-TRIM: A drop-in water exercise class is held every ev-ery Tuesday and Thursday morning at 9:15 a.m. at the Bubble Pool. You don't have to be able to swim or even get your hair wet to enjoy the benefits be-nefits of this class. Cost is $ 1 .50 per visit or you may purchase pur-chase one of our several pass programs. Slimnastics: A registered exercise class which consists of one hour of floor exercise, aerobics, diet and nutrition helps and one hour of water exercise. The class meets on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:30-1 1 :30 a.m. at the Recreation Center. The cost is $20 per session (five weeks-ten lessons). STORYTIME service is available for children two years of age and older at a cost of 50 cents per family. We are offering the following sessions: ses-sions: Jan. 7-Feb. 6; Feb. 9-March 9-March 13; March 16-April 17. Evening drop-in classes: A two-hour drop-in class consisting con-sisting of one hour of floor ex ercises and one hour of water exercises is held each Tuesday, Tues-day, Wednesday, Thurday evening from 5:30-7:30 p.m. or from 8-10 p.m. at the Indoor Pool. YOU MAY visit one hour of the session if you prefer. Cost is $1.50 per visit or you may purchase one of several different diffe-rent pass programs. Bountiful city pools offer swim lessons for all ages and skill levels. MOMS TOTS: These classes clas-ses are for parents and children aged 6 months-2 years. The parents pa-rents are directly involved in the instruction of the children. Classes. are taught on Monday and Wednesdays at 12 noon at the Bubble Pool or on Tuesday and Thursdays at 12 noon at the Indoor Pool. Beginner 3-5 through swimmers: swim-mers: Classes are taugh' two days a week in the mornii f s or the afternoons. The mo u'ng classes are taught on Tuescay and Thursday mornings at the Indoor Pool between :he hours of9a.m.-l p.m. The afternoon classes are taught on Monday and Wednesday or on Tuesday and Friday afternoons at the Indoor Pool between 4-6 p.m. BOY SCOUT merit badge classes: Boy Scouts may enroll in the afternoon classes and pass off their merit badges. Scouts should enroll in an intermediate in-termediate class if they wish to earn their swimming merit badge and in the Boy Scout lifesaving to pass off their life-saving life-saving merit bedes. Sessions for all of the above classes will be Jan. 5-Feb. 6; Feb. 9-March 13; March 16-April 16-April 17. YOU MAY register for these sessions at the Recreation Center one week before the starting date of the session you wish to enroll in. Special Swim Programs Adult swim lessons: We will h offering a beginning class for adults starting Jan. 24. The class will be taught at the Indoor In-door Pool on Saturday mornings morn-ings at 10 a.m. The class will run Jan. 24 through March 28. SENIOR lifesaving: A senior lifesaving class will be offered beginning Jan. 12 on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Bubble Pool from 6-8 p.m. You must be 15 years old to enroll in the class. Scuba: We are offering a PDIC scuba course starting the first week of each month. The class will be taught Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7-11 p.m. at the Bubble Pool. Cost for the course is $100, which includes equipment (student must furnish personal gear mask, fins and snorkel), one weekend dive trip and certification. cer-tification. It can be arranged to receive college credit for this course. Session began Jan. 3. SWIM TEAM: Bountiful city sponsors a competitive age-group swim team. The team is divided into three skill groups who practice five days a week ($25 per month) or three days a week ($15 per month). All team members participate in various meets throughout the state.
