Show One Side Chewing If you have the habit of chewing on only one side of your mouth, you might consider expanding your chewing area to both sides. One-sided chewing builds up the muscles on that side with a corresponding weakening of the muscles on the other side. MOST PEOPLE'S faces are already asymetrical, and one-sided chewing can heighten the problem by encouraging en-couraging the development of one side of the face over the other. If your reason for being a one-sided chewer is that it is painful or awkward to chew on the other side due to missing teeth or an occlusion (bite) problem, your dentist can remedy the situation. |
