"Heaven Never Closes," Mark Ogden's new laugh and cry musical will be presented in the Bountiful LDS Regional Center Thursday and Friday, May 11 and 11 DIRECTING the production will be Elaine McKay, Ensign magazine author and editor, educator and director of several community church productions. "Heaven Never Closes" has only been shown m the Ogden area but all past performances perfor-mances have played to capacity audiences. RULON McKay, star of Shenandoah and for several years the tabernacle Christmas Christ-mas Play will play the lead role. The story compares heaven (celestial industries) with a department store like ZCMI. both are quite high, both conveniently located (Celes- tial Industries - straight up) and both have friendly service - a significant difference, "heaven never closes." IN CELESTIAL Industries the snack room serves milk and honey. The musical score consists of lively modern music similar in style to "Saturday's "Satur-day's Warriors." MUSIC direction is under Sharyl Stone, well known vocal soloist and music teacher in Davis County. Tickets are available to charitable donors at Fashion Village, downtown Bountiful. |
