Show Sun Day: Is On Wednesday, May 3 Across the nation "Sun Day" wil be held on Wednesday, Wednes-day, May 3. This is also the Day of Rogation, which is an old Christian celebration relating to the planting of crops. SUN DAY is being proclaimed to focus on the importance of the sun in our everyday life with special emphasis on ways the sun can . help us through our energy crisis by providing a continuous con-tinuous source of power. To paraphrase a familiar quotation, ask not what the sun can do for you, but what you can do with the sun! THE LEAGUE of Women Voters encourages every citizen ci-tizen to take advantage of the solar energy material on. display and available at the library, as well as participating participat-ing in the activities planned throughout the area, in conjunction con-junction with Solar Week. Gov. Scott Matheson will dedicate the solar energy display at the University of Utah Architecture Lecture Hall, Wednesday, May 3 at 10 a.m. There will be displays, films and source people available to the public all day from May 1-5 at this location to give insight to the importance impor-tance of solar energy. THE UTAH Solar Energy Society will hold a Solar Energy Fair, Saturday, May 6 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at. the Utah Technical College on Redwood Road. Solar hardware hard-ware and people involved in the solar energy field will be available for information. It will also be possible to purchase materials and assemble as-semble low technology solar devices such as solar cookers.
