Show Bountif ulites In Crash J.V. Carruth, age 50, and his wife, Gloria, age 47, of Bountiful, were injured Sunday Sun-day when their single motor two seat Luscombe plane crashed at the Northwest end of the Jackpot, Nevada Airport. Air-port. MR. CARRUTH suffered head injuries and he also broke a left ankle. He is now in the Magic Valley Memorial . Hospital, at Twin Falls, Ida., 43 miles north of Jackpot. He and his wife, who suffered mainly abrasions to both of her arms, were taken to the hospital in the Jackpot ambulance. am-bulance. Witnesses said the plane rose from the airstrip upon take-off, turned south, wobbled and struck the ground, just short of an east-west east-west power line. INVESTIGATING officers said the couple undoubtedly escaped death by the fact that they were tightly belted in. The plane was so demolished that the rescuers had difficulty dif-ficulty extracting them from the fuselage. The number of the plane was N7-1646, and will be remembered for its custom paint of bright red, with three foot wide checkerboard navy and white on the wings and fuselage.
