Show I ELMO STEED Friday Services Set For Elmo Steed Elmo James Steed, 65, of 878 East 500 South, Bountiful, died Aug. 30, 1978 in a Salt Lake City hospital. He was born Nov. 12, 1912 in Far-mington, Far-mington, to Ray and Luella Bennett Steed. He married Alice Goodfellow Wheeler, June 9, 1939 in Farmington. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. HE WAS an active member of the LDS Church, Navy veteran of World War II, owned and operated a service station in Bountiful for many years. Survivors include his wife, Alice of Bountiful; children, Kent Steed and Mrs. David (Susan) Jensen, both of Bountiful; Gordon Wheeler, Salt Lake City; and Creed Wheeler, Layton; ten grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Wilma Mills, Farmington. FUNERAL services will be held Friday, Sept. 1, 1978 at 12 noon at the Bountiful 40th Ward Chapel, 640 South 750 East. Friends called Thursday Thurs-day evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary Mor-tuary and may call an hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Farmington City Cemetery. |
