Show Centerville Selects A Committee CENTERVILLE -- A committee com-mittee was named at city council meeting here Tuesday night to further study and make recommendations to the council on a problem concerning con-cerning street alignment of 400 West between 1000 North (Chase Lane) and 1300 North. AFTER studying county planning plats as well as city subdivision plots, it was agreed that the street is probably out of alignment between six and 20 feet. But how to correct the problem with as little disruption disrup-tion to property owners as possible is another matter. AFTER hearing property owners, developers, engineers en-gineers and the county planner discuss the problem for about 20 minutes, it was decided to appoint a committee commit-tee - primarily of those parties par-ties interested in the street development and make a recommendation to the council coun-cil at its next meeting on Sept. 19. One developer told the council that it would be difficult dif-ficult to realign the road on the east because several lots in a subdivision have been sold and deeds granted. BUT DEVELOPERS on the west don't want to lose any property, either. The street alignment discrepancy was a result of different types of surveys conducted over the years. "THIS IS only one of several such problems throughout the county," commented com-mented County Planner Jared Campbell, grb |
