Show ., jflSf MR. AND MRS. DAVID P. FURLONG Garden Rites Mr. and Mrs. Nathan S. Plummer, 145 Kingdon Lane, North Salt Lake, announce the marriage of their daughter, Doreen Marie to David Paul Furlong. HE IS the son of Dr. and Mrs. Paul T. Furlong, 868 E. 725 So., Centerville. The couple was married September 11 at the home of the bride's parents in a garden gar-den wedding. The rites were performed by Bishop Merrill G. Shupe. MR. AND Mrs. Furlong entertained en-tertained the wedding party with a dinner the night before the ceremony at their home. Before the ceremony the wedding party and guests enjoyed en-joyed Paul L. Furlong, father of the bridegroom, singing, "Sunrise, Sunset," accompanied accom-panied by Ramona Dalton. A garden reception was held at the bride's parents home that evening. The string quartet consisting of Stephanie and Denise Wadsworth, Carolyn Parrish and Betty Hegerhorst played during the evening. The bride wore an empire waist gown with lace inset, tucked organza bib top and the top and cuffs of the belled sleeves were adorned with lace. The bottom of the dress had a double row of ruffles and her finger tip veil with cap matched the lace on her dress. She carried a bouquet of a large white orchid surrounded by red roses, white carnations, baby breath and streamers of cranberry and white satin ribbons. MAID OF honor was the bride's sister, Diana Plummer. Diane Moss and Robin Williams were bridemaids with junior bridesmaids being Cheriene Plummer, sister of the bride and Kathy Furlong, sister of the bridegroom. The maid of honor and bridesmaids' dresses were cranberry and slate blue sheer floral patterned with empire waist, belled sleeves with lace banding on sleeves, around neckline and ruffled skirt. They carried nosegays of red roses, white mums and baby breath. Streamers of cranberry ribbon fell from the bouquets. Jr. bridesmaids wore dresses alike and carried miniature nosegays. THE BRIDE'S mother wore a long gown of cranberry red polyester with ribbon banding on the high waist and full sleeves with ruffles. The bridegroom's mother wore a slate blue, high waist-ed waist-ed gown with white lace on top of bodice, full sleeves with lace edging on sleeve ruffle of the gown. The mothers wore white orchids. THE WEDDING cake was three feet done in four layers, separated by fresh flowers and a fountain of blue water, topped by a bouquet of white mums and red roses. Best man was Mike Pryor and also in the line were Nick Plummer, the bride's twin brother and Bob Furlong, the bridegroom's brother. THE COUPLE went to the bride's parents' cabin in Island Park, Idaho for their honeymoon. Prenuptial parties were hosted by Diane and Sylvia Moss, Kathy Boehme, Debby Plummer and Louise Hill, Lynda Gotchall and Flora Case. THE BRIDE has graduated from Viewmont High School. The bridegroom has graduated graduat-ed from Viewmont High School and is employed by MacDonalds. Out of town guests included the bride's maternal grandfather, grand-father, A.V. Hansen, Black-foot, Black-foot, Idaho; and the bridegroom's maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Fouyer, of Ogden and Mrs. Aleta Proctor Furlong of Ogden. |
