Show Farm. Relief Society Holds Opening Social Farmington First Relief Society held their opening social on Tuesday, September 21 at the Rock Chapel. THEME FOR the evening was "The Joy of Womanhood." The program was planned by Giselle Fitzgerald, education counselor coun-selor and "Womanhood, Its Joys and Challenges" being discussed by Laurie Stewart, Sherri Bills, Ada Schaelling and Polly Blanchard. A musical selection, "Behold Thy Handmaiden" was sung by Miriam Massey and accompanied by Jan Arrington. Jan Sorenson spoke on "The Joy of Being a Woman." EXHIBITS ON looking ahead to a new year in relief society were set up in the Cultural hall by leaders and teachers. Delicious refreshments were served under the direction direc-tion of Kae Andreason, homemaking counselor with Irene Benson as chairman of the committee. DECORATIONS WERE by Joann Wasson, Ardella Law-son Law-son and Doris Murray. The Bishopric were special guests of the evening. This was an inspirational evening before the beginning of weekly relief society in October. Homemaking meetings were held this week on Tuesday Tues-day and Wednesday mornings. |
