It took a large crane and a great deal of effort to get everything back on the track. A truck-train accident on the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad at 2600 South resulted result-ed in a tipped caboose, derailed cars and torn-up THE TRUCK, going through the intersection, caught the caboose of the moving train and tipped it over, according to Brad Or-gill, Or-gill, of the Davis County Fire Department and Rescue Unit. The accident occurred on Monday. There were no injuries, Or-gill Or-gill said, though the fire department sent an ambulance. am-bulance. The rescue unit was not needed. THE COUNTY fire department depart-ment answered four grass fires last week-noneof which resulted in serious damage, Orgill said. Firemen res ponded to two grass fires on Saturday. One was west of Centerville and the other at 3200 Orchard Drive. On Monday one truck responded res-ponded to a fire call reported below the Bountiful "B". "It was stomped out by kids before the truck arrived," Orgill said. The two trucks answered a grass fire at 787 South 950 West on Wednesday. |
