"Literary Pathways of America," the travel film by William Stockdale will be accompanied ac-companied with a lecture by the producer. It should be of special interest to students of 1 American literature and history. his-tory. SIX OTHER numbers follow in the Davis Premiere Series. Thursday, Nov. 4 Doug Jones' excellent film entitled "Hawaii" will be shown and again a lecture will accompany the showing. This film has only recently been produced and presents a breathtaking view of those Pacific Island jewels. THE UNIVERSITY Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Newell Weight, will present a Christmas concert Thursday, Dec. 9. Dr. Weight is an outstanding choral director, nationally known for his superb directorship. Following the University Chorale one of Utah's most famous citizens. Dr. Henry Eyring, will speak Jan. 20 concerning the "Effects of the Degenerative Diseases of Aging." Ag-ing." DR. EYRING, known world wide for his work in chemistry and physics, holds honorary degrees from a host of the world's great universities. universi-ties. He has recently turned his attention to cancer and the other diseases of aging. His lectures are always delivered with the keen enthusiasm with which he approaches his scientific work, yet with such broad audience appeal that The lonely clump of palm trees in California's Death Valley is part of the sequence showing the tremendous variety of trees in America while Joyce Kilmer's "Trees" is recited. From Bill Stocksale's "Pathways Through Literary America." the most unscientific layman is delighted with having been in attendance. JULIEANN Schreiner, one of Utah's brightest young artists, ar-tists, will present a violin concert Feb. 3. Miss Schreiner, the daughter of another famous Utah musician, Alexander Schreiner, has received rave reviews as she has performed throughout the intermountain region. March 16 the travel film and lecture "Austria" will be delivered by Dick Reddy. This new presentation shows the spectacular mountains and villages of one of the world's most photogenic regions. THE FINAL number in the Davis Premiere Series will be the delivery of the 40th Annual An-nual Reynolds Lecture April 12th. The Reynolds Lecture is presented each year by an outstanding University of Utah faculty member selected select-ed for special recognition by the Frederick William Reynold's Foundation. The Davis Premiere Series is jointly sponsored by the Davis County Chapter of the American Association of University Women and the Davis University of Utah Program. TICKETS ARE now on sale at the Davis University of Utah Complex. Admission to individual attractions are $1.50 but the entire season of seven outstanding performances perfor-mances may be purchased for $7.50.
