New bishop in.:Val Verda First Ward is Richard Knight, who lives vvith his wife Maxine and ttieir family at 2934 South 150 East. Bishop Knight is an industrial in-dustrial engineer at Hill AFB. His counselors are Jerry Holley and Scott Todd, with J.rry Weight as executive secretary. They succeed Dr. Hjcken, former bishop and counselors Fred Kendall and Richard Siddoway. ?The Second Ward's new bishop is Ronald Lamb who has been serving as stake executive secretary. Ron and Wa Lamb live at 669 West 3100 South with their seven Ohjldren. Bishop Lamb is the principal at Washington Elementary School in Salt Lake City. His counselors are Dee Packard and Don Peterson, Peter-son, with Gerald Martin as executive secretary. William Pace is the former bishop with Harold Donaldson and Don Peterson as counselors. When Bishop Wayne Budge and his family moved to Arizona, it was necessary to iXlease the bishopric in the W Sixth Ward consisting of Bishop Budge, Ken Larkin arid Bill Reich. The new bMiopbric is Ken Larkin, who likes at 2918 South 450 West Yfth his wife Helene and their fbur children. He is a systems consultant for the LDS Church's Management Systems Sys-tems Corp. His counselors are BjlJ Reich and Joe Stringham with Burdell Dyches as executive secretary. 'Newcomers in our area are KMth ancTJolene Gines and their son Adam. Keith is the manager of Beneficial Finance in Ogden and Jolene teaches third grade at Washington School in Boun-tgtfl. Boun-tgtfl. .Also a welcome to the Bill Markus family; Trent and Fae Clark and their baby Kalynn; Ray and Rosa Asay and their two children. They moved here from Sandy, although Rosa is a native of Mexico City. Ray manages a paint store. A large Polynesian family has moved into our area. Sally Aga is the grandmother, with Saluvale and Moana Leatutufu, and grandchildren Aifua, Tata, Penina, Pona, Laita, and Saluvale Ronia. The family got involved in the neighborhood by giving a demonstration on muumuu making in the Orchard Second Ward Relief Society, as well as demonstrating Polynesian cooking. From University Village came Ken and Debra Coleman and their son Eric. Ken is a student in accounting at the U. of U. and works part-time at the LDS Hospital as a phlebotomist drawing blood for diagnostic tests. Debra works as a waitress at the Red Flame Restaurant. Mable LeBaron is welcomed wel-comed at 243 West 2600 South from Bountiful. Welcome also to Charles and Olene McCandless. This family moved here from NiPano, Calif. He is a retired civil service employee. The couple spend their leisure time with involvement in the Rebeccas and Odd Fellows Lodge in Salt Lake City where they are active members. Milton and Wanda Bond and their daughter Heidi moved into the area from Bountiful. Milton is a woodwork wood-work teacher at South Davis Jr. High School, well-known by many of his students in the area. Wanda occupies her time with volunteer work at Lakeview Hospital. Heidi is studying accounting at LDS Business College. |
