Show Many Activities Listed For Golden Years The Golden Years Center will be closed on Monday, September 4 for Labor Day. THE STAFF and personnel at the center would like to thank all volunteers and anyone who assisted with the recent Davis County Fair. It was the best and largest exhibit ever entered in the fair by the senior citizens. This is a fine compliment for all who made and entered their beautiful handwork of all kinds. Over 400 articles were exhibited. There may be a tour of the Osmond Studios coming up, pending a confirmation of a date. If the center is given a chance to tour the studios, it will be on short notice, so sign up at once if you are interested interest-ed or call 295-3479. THE DAVIS County candidates can-didates for the coming election elec-tion have been invited to come to the center on Wednesday, September 6, to meet the citizens ci-tizens and to speak at 12: 30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come hear the candidates. Bertha Muir will sponsor a book review, to be given by Lois Pickett, on Monday September Sep-tember 11. SENIOR CITIZEN Day at the Utah State Fair is Wednesday, Wed-nesday, September 13. Passes may be obtained at the center, come in to pick them up. There are also coupons for Holiday On Ice available at the center. There will be no transportation furnished this ! year, so get a group together to drive your own cars or take the bus. THE FIRST fall monthly luncheon will be Thursday, September 14. Make plans to attend and sign up before that i day, or call the center. i Wilford Hales will be in Charge of a travelogue on September 15. Everyone is invited to see these interesting interest-ing travelogues which he has presented several times. A FALL foliage tour is being be-ing planned for Friday, October Oc-tober 5.
