Show William Mease dies in Richmond William Henry Mease, 85, a former Uintah Basin resident and a pharmacist phar-macist in Richmond for about 55 years, known to patrons as "Doc," died Sept. 16, 1981. A native of Whiterocks, Utah, Mr. Mease was the owner and operator of Mease Pharmacy at 1039 W. Grace St., which he ran for about 40 years until he sold the business and retired in the late 1970s. Before that, he owned Cochran Drug Co. with his father John A. Mease. He also briefly owned Medical Arts Pharmacy at 118 E. Franklin St. Mr. Mease graduated from Uintah Academy of Vernal, and Highland Park College now Drake University. He worked for the secretary of the Utah Board of Pharmacy before moving to Richmond in 1921. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a Mason. Mr. Mease is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joseph W. Folger and Mrs. J. F. Childrey, both of Richmond. A funeral service was Saturday, Sept. 19, 1981 in Westhampton Memorial Park. |
