Want to learn Karate? It will be U Monday and Thursday evenings in pe "'gh school weight room with John ro8g instructing. Would you like to learn to work with wood? Cabinet making and wood finishing, for adults only, will be taught Mondays in the vocational center by Al Heaton. Due to the size of the shop this class will be limited in size to between 15 and 20 people. Those interested are urged to register as soon as possible. Business occupations and individualized individu-alized ' sewing will be taught Tuesday evenings in the vocational center by Pat Richeson and Helen Benson, repectively. Ron Pierce will teach driver's education on Wednesday evenings. While most classes carry a $12 fee, this special course will be $50. Norma Looney will teach cake decorating on Thursday evenings in the vocational center. In addition to the basic fee of $6 for each 6 weeks, this class will also charge a lab fee. English will be taught Mondays; math will be Tuesdays; American History Histo-ry will be Wednesdays; and science will be Thursdays. Some interest has been expressed in weight training, silver smithing, and reading musical scores for choir and group singing purposes. Anyone who would like to participate in any of these classes is asked to contact the district office. If enough are interested, these classes will be organized. Also anyone interested in shorthand is asked to attend the' business class on Tuesday, Sept. 20, and if enough are there, a schedule will be set up. Shorthand must meet 3 times a week in order to be. effective. Registration for all classes may be arranged by calling the School District Office at 259-6212. For those interested in high school completion counseling and guidance services are available. |
