Show More contest entrants sought Five lovely young Moab ladies have already entered the Miss Canyonlands Beauty Pageant and the Moab Jay-cees Jay-cees are looking for other talented girls to compete. The pageant will take place in conjunction with Moab's Diamond Jubilee Celebration and the public is cordially invited to attend on Saturday, Oct. 1. The competition will be held in Star Hall beginning at 6:30 p.m., and cover charge is $1. Girls still thinking about entering the contest are reminded re-minded that entries close in just one week, Thursday, Sept. 23 at 5 p.m. Entrants must be 18 by Sept. 1, 1978 and must have graduated from high school by that date. They may be no more than 28 years old and must be single never having been married, 1 divorced, or had a marriage annulled. Girls will compete in different categories ud o. ficia rules and regulation, entry forms, and more detailed detail-ed information can be obtain-ed obtain-ed from Becky Hutchins, Co. Home Extension Agent, in Room 1 of the Grand Co. Courthouse, or Martin Hw-aker Hw-aker on Murphy Line. Entrants En-trants must also obtain i local sponsor.
