Show Newly weds Take Trip To The Northwest A recent marriage of interest to friends" and relatives here was that of Miss Betty Lou Kapple, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Hills of Payson, and Floyd W. Crandall, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Crandall of this city. mi : i i i 4-i The marriage took place m the Payson Second ward chapel and later a reception honored the couple. cou-ple. The young bride was lovely in a gown of white corded silk with a fingertip veil falling from a tiara of sequins. She carried a bouquet of red roses. Her attendants were Mrs. Ruth Leffler of Salt Lake City, matron of honor; Mrs. Dorothy Doro-thy Jones, Mrs. Irene Thomas, Miss Eleanor York of Spanish Fork, and Mrs. Helen Spafford of Springville, bridesmaids. Bill Av-ett Av-ett of Springville was best man for the bridegroom. Mrs. Myrtle Denhalter of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Leah Erick-son, Erick-son, aunts of the bride, were hostesses hos-tesses in the gift room and in charge of serving were Mrs. La Berta Sorenson, Mrs. Marie Fedje and Mrs. Leila Parker and they were assisted by a group of young girls. Commander F. E. Edward Walker, Walk-er, USN, of Salt Lake City, was master of ceremonies. Dancing followed a deligtful program. The young bride graduated from Payson high school and the BYU and has been teaching in the Nebo school district. Mr. Crandall was recently discharged dis-charged from the army after more than three years overseas duty. He continued his interrupted studies at BYU and graduated last week. The couple went to the Pacific Northwest for a wedding trip. |
