Show Lovely Reception Honors Couple Wed Early This Month, In Temple Announcement is made this week of tke marriage of Miss Betty Russell, a daughter of Mrs. Julia Russell of Mesa, Ariz., and L. W.ood Haymond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Haymond of this city. s The wedding was an event of Friday, December 5, taking place in the Salt Lake Temple and witnessed wit-nessed by immediate family members. mem-bers. The following Friday evening the newlyweds were complimented with a reception in the Second ward hall. The bride appeared charming in a white satin wedding gown entrain. en-train. A gorgeous lace-trimmed veil was arranged to her head with a crown of seed pearls. She carried car-ried a bridal bouquet of gardenias and red rosebuds tied with white satin ribbon. She was attended by Mrs. Marie Kari of Van Nuys, Calif., sister of the groom, as matron, of honor, and her bridesmaids were Miss Beverly Haymond, Mrs. Rosalie Killpack of Provo, Miss Coleen Johnson of Spanish Fork, and Miss Maurine Spratling. Jack Whiting was best man. The bride's attendants were attired at-tired in pastel colored formals with nosegays of Talisman roses. Also in the receiving line were the parents par-ents of the bride and groom. Mrs. Russell and Mrs. Haymond wore black afternoon dresses with corsages cor-sages of red rosebuds. Ted Haymond was toastmaster, announcing the program, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Haymond acted as host and hostess. Robert Thorn entertained with piano numbers during the evening; Miss Carol Loveridge, vocal solos; David Haymond, a vocal solo, accompanied ac-companied by Golden Hanson; Preston Hooper, a vocal solo, accompanied ac-companied by Marguerite Jepper-son Jepper-son of Provo; Carol Clark, a reading; read-ing; Joan Christensen, Gwen Mech-am, Mech-am, and Marva Reed, guitar selections; selec-tions; Dian and Norma Hewett of Spanish Fork, readings; Miss Mel-ba Mel-ba Child, piano numbers, and Gordon Gor-don Childs, violin selections, accompanied ac-companied by Douglas Childs. - In charge of the gift arrangement arrange-ment and serving refreshments during the evening were Miss Mildred Mil-dred Nordstrom, Miss Lillian San-ford, San-ford, Miss Afton Ash, Miss Carol Clark and Miss Louise Lowe. The young couple are makng their home in Springville, while Mr. Haymond, an ex-service man, will continue his studies at the Brigham Young University. |
