The paper has notified J C Llttlefield, scretan of the Ogden post that it has offered n additional r ward of $500 for the capture of th--alleged slacker and tho reward total now approximates $6500. AUTO ENTHUSIAST It was explained that the legion weekl made the reward offer because it believes it Imperative for the good of this country that every man who Was a military slacker during the war be punished. Grover Cleveland Bergdoll Is the son of a German brewer of Philadelphia Philadel-phia who died leaving a fortune. In 1914 he offered his service to German, as 'an aviator through the German consul at Philadelphia. When the Lnlted States declared war he announced an-nounced ho would never fight agalnit Germany. Although he registered under the draft act Bergdoll failed to report for examination on August 8, 1918. Ills brother, Erwin, followed the same course but since surrendered. For more than two years, Grover C. toured tour-ed tlu- country In his automobile, narrowly nar-rowly escaping capture several times n January 7. 1920, Bergdoll was captured In his home after his mother attempted to resist the officers with a loaded revolver.
