Show Botilda Frandsen To Observe 80th Birthday Anniversary Friends and relatives of Mrs. Botilda Hansen Frandsen will honor her at a reception and open house at her home at First West and Second North St., Sunday Sun-day in observance of her 80th birthday. Mrs. Frandsen was born in Mt. Pleasant, March 28, 1866, a daughter of James and Johannah Anderson Hansen. Her father was one of the company of 20 men who founded Mt. Pleasant in 1859. She was married to Wil-lard Wil-lard Frandsen, prominent farmer of this city, June 24, 1886 and later the marriage was solemnized solem-nized in the Manti Temple. Mr. Frandsen died May 20, 1933. Mrs. Frandsen is known for her exquisite needle work and her flower gardens. She has been an active worker in the Church, serving 45 years as relief re-lief Society teacher; 15 years as president of the North Ward Primary Pri-mary Assiciation, and was a member of the North Ward choir for many years. She is a charter member of the Mt. Pleasant Pioneer Pio-neer Historical Association and of the Women's Progressive club. She is the mother of eight children of whom six are living: W. E. Frandsen, Mrs. C. H. Jacob-sen, Jacob-sen, Mrs. Edgar Nelson, and Mrs. Justus O. Seely of Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Reed Gammell of Ogden and Mrs. J. L. Averett of Emmett, Idaho. She has 29 grandchildren, grandchil-dren, 28 great-grandchildren; four grandsons served in World War II and one, Andrew Jay Frandsen, was a prisoner in Japan Ja-pan three years. She was the oldest child in a family of 21 children, only four others of whom are living, Mrs. Annie H. Neilson of Mt. Pleasant; Pleas-ant; Mrs. Hanah H. Nyborg of St. Anthony, Idaho; Louis and Christian Hansen of Salt Lake City. |
